Apply to Present

Welcome!

LifeSpan Network invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 2025 Annual Conference and Expo!

This event is a fantastic opportunity to share your best practices, regulatory guidelines, implementation successes and proven project solutions to a broad range of senior care professionals.

Proposals are due by 5:00pm March 15, 2025

Who Should Submit a Proposal?
We encourage proposals from all disciplines, including providers, state agencies, long term care organizations, business members, educators, consultants, and beyond. By sharing your knowledge and experience with leaders in senior care you directly enhance the quality of life for Maryland’s seniors.

Benefits of Presenting

  • The primary presenter receives a complimentary full registration to the conference, and any co-presenters (up to 2) receive a discounted registration rate.
  • Advance knowledge across the industry to improve outcomes for businesses and long-term care residents alike.
  • Network, earn CEUs, visit the exhibitors and learn from other presenters.
  • Share your ideas and expertise with both newcomers and veterans of the senior residential and long-term healthcare fields.
  • Meet others in the field who may contribute to the future success of your organization.

Audience Characteristics:
Our audience represents all disciplines from independent and multi-facility organizations, in both the for-profit and not-for-profit space. Attendees have varying levels of experience in the long-term care profession and are typically administrators, executive directors, owners, CEO/CFO/COOs, Directors of Admissions, facility leadership, clinical directors, and key decision makers; direct care staff such as directors of nursing, social workers, and activities directors also attend. Attendees come from continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), assisted living, skilled nursing, hospice, adult day care, and home health fields.

Characteristics of Successful Presentations:
LifeSpan supports presentations which will enhance the knowledge, skills, or programs of attendees of this conference, keeping in mind the primary audiences of assisted living, skilled nursing, or community-based healthcare. Presentations must be educational in nature and may not promote or market a specific business, product, or service.

Selection Process:
LifeSpan's Education Committee will review all completed proposals. Incomplete proposals will not be considered. Proposals will be evaluated based on the
following criteria:

  • Unique and timely content

  • Presenter(s) offer practical tools that can be readily utilized by attendees
  • Proposal is clear, focused and well-organized
  • Title and session summary must offer a clear description of the topic and objectives, and be engaging (this is what appears in the conference program and what attendees will use to evaluate which sessions they attend – tell them how your information will help them!)
  • Presenter’s credentials and experience are appropriate for the session topic
  • Presentation is not a marketing effort for a product, company or service

  • Speakers that are selected agree to abide by all deadlines for submission of required content
  • Proposals must be free of commercial or promotional content
  • Proposals must be complete upon submission; incomplete proposals will not be reviewed. Your final presentation does not have to be complete until closer to the conference date
