Proposal Submission

Welcome!

** Deadline to submit is July 30, 2021! **

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the ASCD Leadership Summit to be held December 13-16, 2021 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, FL. We hope that you join us as we explore the theme of Lead to Flourish: Serving the Whole Educator & Whole Child. As we look to renew and restore from the pandemic, there is a growing call to focus on the whole child and whole educator. It has never been more clear that we must move beyond a definition of school success that is measured only by academic achievement. Much work needs to be done to accomplish this and the need for reflective and responsive leadership has never been more critical.

What Does it Mean to Lead so the Whole Child and Whole Educator Flourish?

It calls for creating engaging and challenging learning experiences that will prepare students for the future of work and societal changes; creating healthy and safe environments where students and adults feel physically and emotionally nourished, respected, and treated with dignity; and caring for each person by supporting their unique academic, social, and emotional needs.

ASCD is seeking session proposals that support the conditions for creating thriving learning environments centered around the whole child and whole educator. Topics ideas may include but are not limited to:

Strand 1: Engaged and Challenged - learning experiences that will prepare students for the future of work and societal changes

  • Professional learning that sticks
