Conference Sessions

A 2016 Gallup survey indicated that only 6 percent of K–12 superintendents in public school districts strongly agreed that their districts understood the needs of millennials in the workplace. With many districts struggling to recruit and retain teachers, it’s important for district leaders to understand and be able to effectively lead this generation in order to ensure the long-term success of their districts. Participants in this session will explore the key characteristics of this generation and how to discern their cultural distinctions. Participants will learn, practice, and apply strategies for effectively recruiting, retaining, and leading millennial educators in their districts.
