Cancelled: AAAA 2021 Summit

We were notified last night that the Army will not be able to support the 2021 Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit on April 21-23 in Nashville, TN.

They based their decision on an Army Health Risk Assessment completed March 3, 2021 by the Army Public Health Center (APHC) as well as the current environment.

We are cancelling the Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit based on this decision, as we depend on the Army for our key speakers and leader attendance, aircraft displays, and general attendance.

Thank you to all our many vendors, AAAA members and chapters, and especially our Industry Partners, who worked so hard over the last six months to make the 2021 AAAA Annual Summit a possibility. Be safe, be careful, and we hope to see you at future AAAA events as conditions allow.

2021 AAAA Summit Update

AAAA National staff have just returned from an on-site visit on February 11-12 to Opryland. Working closely with Marriott Corporation, the City of Nashville Health Department, and Gaylord Opryland Hotel management, we are addressing logistical and safety issues to make it possible to hold the 2021 Summit live and on site at Opryland.

The situation is extremely fluid but in the face of amazing nationwide decreases in cases, hospitalization, and deaths reported by the CDC since January 8, and the significant increases in the administration of vaccines, things are currently headed in a positive direction.

That said, a number of traditional AAAA Summit events will be re-shaped for this year, or perhaps even postponed to next year in order to comply with current health department regulations.

Specifically, all stand-up receptions serving alcohol and food are currently prohibited. Food events like the Hall of Fame Banquet may proceed with social distanced table seating and no preceding reception.

The Early Bird Exhibit Hall opening will not feature bars and food this year. Some of the Spouse events like the Gaylord Kitchen and Garden tours will not happen. The Spouse Professional program will take place. The General Sessions will feature social distancing in an area twice the size of our normal setup.

We anticipate new guidance from the Health authorities in Nashville after March 1, 2021.

We will be rolling out specific personal COVID-19 safety attendance requirements in the coming weeks which currently include: mandatory masks and automatic temperature screening of all attendees. Prior to the event, attendees will also need to confirm a 72 hour negative test or completed course of vaccination and, to be admitted each day, complete a daily digital health survey via Health Pass in the CLEAR mobile app. Again, things may change after March 1, but this is the current plan. The Go/NoGo decision will be made on March 8. It will be made public NLT March 9, 2021.
