FAME - A FACE Architecture Modeling Environment
Create rigorous data models that stay “within the rails” of the FACE Technical Standard. Near continuous model validation and model wizards/forms ensure that data models are built correctly and adhere to meta-model, and data model, query, and template constraints, with minimal surprises during FACE conformance testing. The QuickFix feature provides the option to quickly fix common malformed model problems such as missing conceptual characteristic, uniqueness issues, or incorrect naming conventions.

Model validation based on FACE meta-model, OCL constraints, and Query and Template rules
Wizards/forms for the FACE realization construct from Conceptual to Logical and Logical to Platform
Single-click (or minimal click) functionality for model element creation/realization: enumerations, measurements, Entity/Association attribution
Context-sensitive and grammar-aware editing of Queries and Templates
Builder option for Query and Template building
Natural language model development/creation/definition supported by included English language dictionary through online Wikipedia access
Visualize, access, and understand complex FACE data models and DSDMs containing thousands of elements with FAME’s filterable auto-diagram and context-driven views. FAME editors and views provide top-level and FACE domain-specific visibility into model elements, and the relationships between them, eliminating the need to drill-down into nested properties editors to find string-based tags while losing context.

Model Explorer View (hierarchical folder view based on modeler allocation)
Smart Explorer View (model elements set in folders by meta-type)
Property View (model element properties: basic, advanced, tracing, display)
Quick View (HTML rendering with links, hinting, proximal elements)
Auto-diagram Editor (model element discovery, connections, filtered connections, hyper-linking, uses unofficial but widely accepted data architecture graphical notation)
User-diagram Editor (custom user diagram creation)
Outline View (model element textual and graphical focus/zoom)
Document View (model visualization as documentation elements, staging for digital artifact generation)
Project Chronicle (model import, export, validation status)
Dashboard (model element and characteristic counts by type) allow management visibility into model development activities for the creation of meaningful metrics
Control and have access to your data

Project Explorer (file-based model view, version control)
XML file serialization open and available text files
Conversion of FACE 2.1.X models to FACE 3.0 and FACE 3.0 models to FACE 3.1+

Generate Digital Artifacts from your digital models and data:

Interface Control Document (ICD) generation
Model to document transformation through Document View export to various file formats: Office, Open Office, iWork, PDF
Specialized import and export wizards. For FACE, import and export of FACE 2.1.X and 3.X models, export of FACE 3.X IDL and TSS segment artifacts (AFCE-178 integration).
